Only a few of the auxiliaries and additives permitted in the EU are approved for production by the EU-ÖKO regulation. NOBELMIN talc is one of the few permitted substances.

Since the human organism can neither absorb nor utilize talc and it excretes unchanged, the material is considered to be harmless to health.

The food industry makes use of this and, because of its natural properties and its effectiveness, uses talc in the production of foods and food supplements as a release agent and as an active ingredient carrier.
